It was wonderful to see our friends at Fall Creek Farm & Nursery get some positive press on the Garden Center Magazine blog:

They are right on with their theme:  Every Season.  Every Garden.

At Pleasant Hill Nursery, we’ve always loved blueberry  plants and the bountiful harvest of healthful fruit they produce.  However, blueberries are a versatile plant for container gardening and the landscape too.  They offer spring blooms that are really pretty in varying shades of whites, pinks and blues.  Of course, the summer fruit is

the best part.  By planting an assortment of early, mid and late season varieties, you ensured lots of berries from late June into September.  When it comes to fall color, blueberries offer some of the most spectacular fall foliage with vibrant reds, oranges and yellows.  And even in the winter months when the leaves are gone many blueberry varieties offer canes in varying shades of red that add a bright color and interesting texture to the landscape.

Remember that blueberries are loaded with health benefits too - nutrients (including vitamin C & E) and antioxidants that aid in slowing aging, improving vision health, lowering blood pressure, reducing risk of infection and more.

We are proud to grow blueberries that originate at Fall Creek.  We grow an extensive collection of blueberry varieties that are propagated in Fall Creek's state-of-the-art propagation facilities.  We choose Fall Creek as our exclusive liner source because of their exceptional quality, superior genetics and because they offer more varieties than anyone.  Plus they are great people and just a stone’s throw from our nursery.

Including blueberries in your garden, patio and landscape plantings will bring you a bounty of summer fruit and healthy benefits. They will also provide you with many added, year round visual benefits in your garden as well.  Cheers to blueberries and our friends at Fall Creek too!
