Happy Pots

Yesterday I came back to the office after a meeting that lasted three hours. My brain was tired. I felt drained and the last place I wanted to go was back to work. When I parked and walked up to our front entrance I noticed Nancy Blum, our resident plant expert and designer extraordinaire, was hard at work putting the finishing touches on our front entrance containers. She had redesigned them and added fresh plant material. THEY WERE GORGEOUS!
An amazing thing happened. I was instantly happy. I mean the dog-tired-mush-brain feeling dissipated and I felt joyful and renewed. I know it sounds a little odd but it made me really happy. Our front entrance was transformed. It was lush and beautiful….colorful, full of texture and visual interest. As the owner of the business I was thrilled. I like us to always look our best as a company. This is certainly one step in that direction. However, it also lifted my own creative spirits. Nancy does that a lot to me with her design talents. And her pots that day were no exception. Amazing how a container, some dirt and a few plants can elevate one’s mood.
