The weather, what we talk about around here, is crisp, clear, sunny, blue skies and downright cold. I don't know why but it making me a little cranky and maybe it is not the weather but the frozen pipe I have going to the washing machine and just the general concern about plants, animals and all of us in this cold weather. On my way to work I was thinking about what could bring me out of this funk, no need to get crotchety at this glorious time of year. I looked up and saw the hill, Mount Pisgah, with a lovely pink glow. I could not meditate something this great no matter how long I sat. Ahh, I can arrive with a little better cheer.
Ashley, my work mate and photographer extraordinaire, had a photo that made me even happier, three robins sitting on the tops of trees. On to the work of the day and letting you know how well we are taking care of our plants; sensitive plants are covered and will be uncovered tomorrow as the weather warms up, the broken pipe is fixed and we have water again, we are finalizing our cutting lists for upcoming propagation, and we have a bit time to write. There are millions of varieties of plants on the earth and we grow a small percentage of them, yet the ones we grow are suited to this growing region, are healthy and robust, some of them are common and some are a bit more unusual, all special in their own way. This is what we do; grow healthy, beautiful plants of exceptional quality.Come and see.
