The other day, a customer told us about a natural way to keep deer away from your plants. It’s a simple egg solution that’s easy to whip up in just a few minutes. We were intrigued, so we did some research and found that this is a great method to keep deer from eating your tender, prized plants. Deer dislike protein, so a protein-rich solution like this egg wash is certainly worth a try!
Here's the simple recipe:
Place 1 egg and 1 cup water in a blender and process on high until well blended. Add this mixture to ½ gallon water. Allow the mixture to stand for 24 hours. Add the mixture to a spray bottle and spray on your plants. It might be necessary to apply a few times during the season. This mixture can easily be doubled or tripled using the same proportions.
