Ribes uva crispa Janhs Prairie gooseberry is a lush ornamental shrub with delicious and high quality reddish-pink fruit ready to eat late June through August.

This gooseberry species was selected from the wild native gooseberries in Alberta Canada by Dr. Otto L. Jahn whom it was named after. Jahns Prairie gooseberry grows to about 4'-5', is very disease- resistant and produces large yields of fruit whose quality is equivalent to European gooseberries. Plant in full sun or part-shade and start enjoying this beautiful and tasty plant in your garden.
