4-19-11: Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid' |
|
When a smaller conifer is desired in the garden, consider this exceptional conical pine. Growing slowly to 25’ and at most 15’ wide, this blue-green pine is a graceful single specimen in a garden. We have seen this pine planted throughout a garden that was surrounded by a native grassland dotted with Ponderosa Pine, it all blended nicely together. Used as a single upright tree on a steep hill, it lifts your eye up to the house without being a large tree. Pinus flexisis is native to the Rocky Mountains from Alberta to Arizona. It is resistant to insects and disease and once established needs only occasional water. Plant in full sun to part shade and enjoy this lovely tree. Pleasant Hill Nursery is pleased to offer: Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid' available in #25's: Call for Prices & to Check Availability Click here to print this featured plant - PDF File |
