4-22-08: Azalea 'Silver Sword'

Azalea 'Silver Sword' ‘Silver Sword’ is a compact, variegated evergreen azalea that blooms profusely in April (typically). The gorgeous blooms are a vibrant pink-red which contrast its elliptical-shaped dark green foliage with white edges.

This variety offers some interesting fall color as well with the edges of the leaves turning a pinkish-red color. This upright shrub is versatile in the landscape – use either as a border plant or plant in mass for a spectacular show of spring color.
