6-19-07: Vaccinium 'Patriot'

Vaccinium ‘Patriot’ is one of the early fruiting varieties of blueberries. The fruits are large, dark and have an excellent flavor.

Growth habit for the ‘Patriot’ blueberry is low and spreading to 4 feet high and wide. This plant makes an excellent landscape addition with its showy white blooms in early spring and its fiery orange fall color. This variety will adapt well in many soil conditions but will tolerate wetter soils unlike many other types of blueberries.
