7-10-07: Acer - circinatum

Acer circinatum offers an excellent backdrop or focal point for any landscape.

A deciduous tree, Vine Maple can tolerate almost any climate and soil conditions but is found native in moist woods and along stream banks in Coastal regions from British Columbia all the way south to Northern California. Its multi-branching habit seems to appear more in shady areas, while the taller more single structured trees (pictured here in #25's) can be grown in more sunny locations. Trees are lush and full of bright green serrated leaves adorned with red new growth and colorful red seed pods. In the fall the foliage is stunning with orange, scarlet and yellow show stopping color. Vine Maples’ growth habit varies depending on climate, water and if it is planted in sun or shade but can range from 5 feet tall and wide to 35 feet tall and wide. It can be pruned to match almost any desired height and structure. We are also offering it in #1's for $2.95 and #15's for $55.00
